Caoria – Cicona per Malga Fiamena
From Caoria (847 m) near to the new Church, take the narrow road indicating Valsorda Valzanca nr. 352. Quite steeply you gain altitude until entering a gentle slope in the woods. Continue until arriving at the location Ponte Steel (1.128 m).
Crossover the bridge and follow the road which penetrates into the Val Sorda. Follow this until reaching a bridge on the right and a sign indicating the entrance to the Natural Park Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino. Go beyond the gate bar and begin to climb in the wood which will lead you to the plain of Malga Fiamena (1.752 m) where you can see the dairy farms and the stables where the town of Canal San Bovo has made a forest refuge.
From the pastures you can enjoy a beautiful panorama over Mount Coppolo as far as the Cime di Bragaròlo, in the northern Lagorai. In the middle of which dominates the Majestic summit of Asta.
Start the descent taking the road in the woods until the deviation for Malga Balaon, which you leave on the left. Descend along the forest road which is constantly steeper and with several hairpin bends brings you to Cinchona.
It is a walk of medium altitude without any kind of difficulty, along forest roads which pass through pastures, woods and mountain shelters.
