Caoria – Siega de Valzanca
From Caoria (847 m) close to the Museum of the Great War, near the new Church, take the narrow road signposted Valsorda Valzanca nr. 352. Quite steep, you will soon gain height until ending up on a slight slope in the woods which penetrates into the Valsorda.
Continue until you arrive at the locality of "Ponte Stel" (1.128 m). Continue past the bridge until you reach the crossroads Valsorda Valzanca, a narrow road on the left will take you after a few metres to the Siega de Valzanca, a Venetian water powered sawmill reconstructed by the Ente Parco Paneveggio Pale di San Martino, which functions perfectly.
During the established visiting days it is possible to reach Siega di Valzanca also with a shuttle bus. For information on visiting days and demonstrations on the working of the mill it is necessary to phone the head office of the Park of Paneveggio Pale di San Martino.
The return journey is carried out along the same route as the climb.
