Passo Rolle – Rifugio “G. Volpi” al Mulaz
Before arriving at Passo Rolle (1.980 m) coming from San Martino di Castrozza, stop on the left of the car park of the old Segantini chair lift. From here is it possible to arrive at the Segantini mountain hut and to Passo della Costazza (2.170 m). Continue along the road (closed with a barrier) which descends in hairpin bends along the valley.
Having reached Pian della Vezzana, at a height of about 2.010 m, on our right in relation to some large rocks, the path nr. 710 begins, which continues with some ups and downs through gravel paths and meets up again with the path (fork road with nr. 710 at 2.000 m) coming from the Malga Venegia.
Now the climb begins, snaking its way up the side of Mount Mulaz (the path is dedicated to Quinto Scalet and recently remade), until arriving at Passo del Mulaz (2.619 m). Another 15 minutes of walking and you arrive at the Rifugio Mulaz (2.571 m).
The return journey is made following the same itinerary as the climb or descending to the Malga Venegiota and then returning as itinerary nr. 1.
