Rifugio Refavaie – Monte Cauriol
Leaving from Rifugio Refavaie (1.116 m), reachable by going right to the end of the Valle del Vanoi. Take the path nr. 320 which starts in the woods and arrive at Malga Laghetti.
Continue towards the Passo Sadole (2.066 m) and then on via the path called the “Italian road”. Be very careful on this part because the terrain is completely crumbled and at times exposed.
With a last effort reach the summit of Mount Cauriol, mangled by the bombardments of the First World War. On a clear day the panorama is unforgettable. From here you can admire the Val di Fassa, the Valle del Vanoi, Latermar, Catinaccio, Sassolungo, Sella, Marmolada, Pale di San Martino, Catenga del Lagorai and Cima D'Asta, as far as the eye can see.
The return journey is made along the same route as the climb.
