Passo Rolle – Laghetti di Colbricon
From Passo Rolle (1.980 m) descend in the direction of Predazzo and after the first two hairpin bends stop at the car park on the right, near to Malga Rolle (1.910 m). Take the narrow road (then path) nr. 14 -348 in the direction of the Lakes of Colbricon.
Having reached Busa Ferrari, from where two chair lifts leaves follow the path, with a slight incline, which leads into the woods and after about 2 km you will arrive at the lakes of Colbricon (1.922 m).
We are in one of the integral reserves of the Natural Park Paneveggio Pale di San Martino, in a pleasant and spectacular place, situated at the far eastern part of the porphyritic range of the Lagorai. The lakes are situated to the east of the saddle of Colbricon: the smallest lake at an altitude of 1.909 m and the largest at 1.922 m. On the banks of the lakes some important Mesolithic finds have been made, viewable in the History Museum of Trento.
A short distance away you can find the small mountain refuge Colbricon (n. 1.927) open during the summer period.
The return is made following the same route as the climb or alternatively you can descend to San Martino di Castrozza following route nr. 4 backwards. This route is also practicable by mountain bike.
