San Martino di Castrozza - Rifugio Pedrotti alla Rosetta

Ascent with the chairlifts (at a charge), descent by foot
From San Martino di Castrozza (1.450 m) follow the signs to Colverde, Rosetta and with the cable car climb to Colverde (1.965 m).
You then ascend with the cable car to 2.609 m (arrival station with bar - restaurant). From here, in about 20 minutes, taking the path 701B you can climb to Cima Rosetta (2.743 m). From the summit the panorama is magnificent and on clear days the effort of the climb is well repaid.
Descend along the path nr. 701 which takes you to the nearby mountain shelter Pedrotti alla Rosetta (2.581 m). After an eventual stop at the shelter go back and at the cross roads which precedes the climb taking you back to the cable car, follow the signs on the right for Passo della Rosetta (2.575 m) Colverde San Martino. Here the descent begins towards Colverde along path nr. 701. This part of the itinerary, from Passo della Rosetta to Colverde, is only recommended to expert hikers or those accompanied by Alpine Guides.
Warning: the path is at times exposed and steady steps and an absence of vertigo are necessary (in the more critical points there are parapets and metallic cables). Having reached Colverde (1965 m) in about h 01:30, you follow along the ski slope which at times penetrates into the woods to reach in about one hour the starting point of the cable car and thereafter San Martino.
